Construction Spending Grew in October

U.S. construction spending in October was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.6 trillion, increasing 0.2% from September and 8.6% higher than the year prior.  Private construction spending was down 0.2% from September to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.25 trillion.  Residential levels for October fell 0.5% from the previous month to $774.7 billion, while non-residential totals rose 0.2% from September to $470.3 billion.  See U.S. Census Bureau
