August Canadian building construction investment grew 0.1% from July and 8.7% year-over-year to $22.8 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending also rose 0.1% to $16.0 billion in August. Seasonally adjusted single-family investment was 2.8% higher than July at $7.4 billion, while multi-unit levels dipped 2.2% to $8.7 billion in August.
