Construction Investment Strengthens in Canada

Canadian building construction investment in January was up 1.5% from December 2022 to $20.4 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending increased 1.9% from December to $14.9 billion. Seasonally adjusted single-family construction spending rose 2.4% to $8 billion. Multi-unit levels grew 1.3% to $6.8 billion in January. Non-residential totals were 0.5% higher in January at $5.6 billion. See Statistics Canada
