December 2025 Canadian building construction investment rose 1.9% from November and 12.2% year-over-year to $23.7 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending increased 2.4% from November to $16.8 billion, while non-residential totals were up 0.6% to $6.9 billion. Seasonally adjusted single-family investment was 2.3% higher than November at $7.5 billion, while multi-unit levels grew 2.6% to $9.3 billion in December.
