October 2025 Canadian building construction investment declined 0.5% from September and fell 5.7% year-over-year to $22.3 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending decreased 0.8% to $15.5 billion in October, while non-residential totals rose 0.2% to $6.8 billion. Seasonally adjusted single-family investment was 2.5% lower than September at $7.0 billion, while multi-unit levels grew 0.7% to $8.5 billion in October. See Statistics Canada
