Canadian Wood Product Sales Increase Month-over-Month

The seasonally adjusted Canadian wood product sales in August were $3.1 billion (CAD), 3.8% higher than July but 0.7% down from the comparable month last year. Sales of furniture and related products totaled $1.2 billion, decreasing 4.2% from July and 6.2% from August 2023. Canadian manufacturing sales for all industries were $69.4 billion, 1.3% lower than July and shrinking 4.4% from the same period last year. See Statistics Canada
