Canadian Retail Furniture Sales Up Month-over-Month

Canadian seasonally adjusted retail furniture store sales in July increased 1.9% from last month to $1.14 billion (CAD) but were 5.0% lower than the same month in 2023. Sales for building material dealers fell 1.4% from June to $3.70 billion and were down 4.2% from the same period a year ago. Total Canadian retail sales in July were $66.38 billion, growing 0.9% from both June and July 2023, respectively.
