Canadian Retail Furniture Sales Dip Year-over-Year

Canadian seasonally adjusted retail furniture store sales in June increased 0.1% from May to $1.15 billion (CAD) but were 3.4% lower than the same month in 2023. Sales for building material dealers grew 0.6% from May to $3.78 billion but fell 1.5% from June 2023. Total Canadian retail sales in June shrunk 0.3% from the prior month to $65.73 billion but rose 0.2% from the year-ago period.
