Canadian Retail Furniture Sales Dip in February

Canadian seasonally adjusted retail furniture store sales in February fell 1.0% from January to $1.20 billion (CAD) and were 3.1% lower than the same month in 2023. Sales for building material dealers declined 0.4% from January to $3.89 billion but increased 0.7% from February 2023. Total Canadian retail sales in February shrank 0.1% from the prior month to $66.7 billion but grew 1.2% from the year-ago period.
