Canadian building construction investment in February grew 4.2% from January to a record $16.8 billion (CAD). Residential construction reached an all-time high of $12.3 billion, while non-residential totals inched up by 0.2% in February to $4.5 billion. Single-family spending increased for the fifth straight month, rising 9.4% to $6.7 billion in February, and multi-unit levels expanded 1.6% from January to $5.7 billion. See Statistics Canada
