Canadian Construction Investment Strengthens in September

Canadian building construction investment increased 2.1% from August to $21.6 billion (CAD) in September, a 6.7% improvement from the same period last year. Residential construction spending grew 2.9% to $15.2 billion. Seasonally adjusted single-family investment was 4.0% higher than in August at $7.0 billion, and multi-unit levels rose 2.0% to $8.2 billion in September.
