Canadian Construction Investment Rises in January

Canadian building construction investment in January was up 3.4% from December 2021 to $19.1 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending grew 4.1% from December to $14.1 billion, and non-residential totals were 1.5% higher in in January at $5.0 billion. Single-family spending increased 2.5% from December to $7.6 billion and multi-unit levels rose 6.0% to $6.5 billion in January. See Statistics Canada
