July Canadian building construction investment grew 0.4% from June and 8.8% year-over-year to $22.7 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending also rose 0.4% to $16.0 billion in July. Seasonally adjusted single-family investment was 2.5% higher than June at $7.1 billion, while multi-unit levels dipped 1.2% to $8.9 billion in July.
