Canadian Construction Investment Improves Slightly in August

Canadian building construction investment in August was up 0.4% from July to $21.1 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending rose by 0.5% to $15.7 billion from July, while non-residential totals were 0.2% lower in August at $5.3 billion. Seasonally adjusted single-family construction spending grew 0.6% from July to $8.6 billion, and multi-unit levels increased 0.5% to $7.2 billion in August. See Statistics Canada
