Canadian Construction Investment Improves in July

Canadian building construction investment in July was up 0.8% from June to $21.0 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending rose by 1% to $15.7 billion from June and non-residential totals were 0.1% higher in July at $5.3 billion. Seasonally adjusted single-family spending grew 0.3% from June to $8.6 billion and multi-unit levels decreased 1.8% to $7.1 billion in July. See Statistics Canada
