Total investment in Canadian building construction in September was $15.2 billion (CAD), declining 1.7% from August. Residential construction was 1.6% higher than August at $10.7 billion, while non-residential totals were 8.5% lower in September at $4.5 billion. Single-family spending decreased 4.5% to $6.3 billion in September, however multi-unit investment grew 2.3% to $6.2 billion compared to August. See Statistics Canada
