March Canadian building construction investment totaled $22.6 billion (CAD), declining 1.3% from February and 2.9% from the comparable month last year. Residential construction spending decreased 2.2% from February to $15.5 billion, while non-residential totals were up 0.6% to $7.0 billion. Seasonally adjusted single-family investment was 2.1% lower than February at $7.2 billion, while multi-unit levels fell 2.3% to $8.4 billion in March. See Statistics Canada
