On January 13, CPA submitted comments on the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC)’s discussion paper that introduced proposed amendments to strengthen the Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR). In September 2025, ECCC announced plans to make targeted CFR amendments to support the development of Canada’s low carbon fuel sector, which is facing significant competitiveness and trade challenges. CPA’s comments focus on supporting the continued exclusion of solid fuels used in composite panel manufacturing from the scope of the targeted amendments. See Discussion Paper and CPA Comments.
