Canadian Border Services Announces Preliminary Determination Against China

The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) has announced its preliminary dumping and subsidy determination on decorative and non-structural plywood products imported into Canada from China. Most Chinese importers will face provisional duties on products imported into Canada as of October 23, 2020.

A final determination will be made by CBSA before January 21, 2021, followed by the Canadian International Trade Tribunal who will decide the final injury by February 19, 2021. The investigation was initiated by the Canadian Hardwood Plywood and Veneer Association and three of its members producers. See Woodworking Canada
