Canada NPRI Reporting Notice Issued

On March 8, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) published the “Notice with Respect to the Substances in the National Pollutant Release Inventory for 2025, 2026, and 2027”. The new NPRI reporting requirements, effective for reporting year 2025, include the addition of several Chemicals Management Plan substances. While it is unlikely that many of these substances are released from composite panel manufacturing operations, some may be present in process inputs or other additives and could be reportable to the NPRI if the applicable “otherwise used MPO” and concentration thresholds are exceeded. Facilities are required to use information that is known, or that may reasonably be accessed when reporting to the NPRI. See NPRI Reporting Notice. More Info: Kevin Warkentin
