August Mexico Manufacturing Index Dips

The August seasonally adjusted S&P Global Mexico Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) was 51.2, declining two points from July but remained in positive territory. Manufacturers reported a continued, yet slower, increase in new orders.

The PMI index comprises five sub-indices tracking changes in new orders, output, employment, suppliers’ delivery times and stocks of raw materials. A reading above 50 indicates growth. See S&P Global
