August Canadian Manufacturing Down

Seasonally adjusted Canadian wood product sales in August were $3.7 billion (CAD), down 4.3% from July but 5.2% higher than the comparable month in 2021. Sales of furniture and related products totaled $1.3 billion, decreasing 1.2% from July and jumping 12% over August 2021. Canadian manufacturing sales for all industries shrunk 2% from July to $70.4 billion but increased 15.9% from August 2021.  See Statistics Canada
