August Architectural Billings Soften

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Economics & Market Research Group’s Architecture Billings Index (ABI) decreased 2.5 points to 45.7 in August, and design contracts rose 0.8 points to 47.3. August billings were below 50 in all sectors and all geographic regions, with a third of firms expecting revenue to improve by the end of 2024. A score above 50 indicates growth. See AIA
