The August Architecture Billings Index (ABI) rose 2.3 points to 53.3 according to The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Economics & Market Research Group. A score above 50 indicates growth in billings. Design contracts decreased marginally from 52.9 in July to 52.3.
August billings were in positive territory for all geographic regions except the Northeast which saw a score of 49.8. Firms of all specializations experienced growth in billings with institutional and residential leading the way with a score of 52. See AIA
