Architectural Billings Remain Slow in January

The Architecture Billings Index (ABI) dipped 0.3 points to 46.2 in January, according to The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Economics & Market Research Group. Design contracts declined 0.7 points from December 2023 to 49.7. A score above 50 indicates growth.

January billings were below 50 in all geographic regions except the Midwest, which had a score of 50.9. All sectors remained under 50 for the sixth straight month. See AIA
