Architectural Billings Improve but Remain Weak in January

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Economics & Market Research Group’s Architecture Billings Index (ABI) increased one point to 45.6 in January, and design contracts grew 0.6 points to 46.2 over December 2024. January billings were below 50 in all sectors and regions. Signed contracts fell for the 11straight month due to concerns about the economy. A score above 50 indicates growth. See AIA
