Architectural Billings Improve but Remain Weak in February

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Economics & Market Research Group’s Architecture Billings Index (ABI) increased 5.6 points to 49.4 in February but remained below 50, marking 16 straight months of industry contraction. All regions and sectors reported lower billings and remained below 50, except the South, which was even with January. Inquiries rose above 50, signaling stronger demand for future work.
