U.S. consumer confidence registered at 92.8 in April, an increase of 0.6 points from the adjusted March reading, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index. The index measuring current business and labor market conditions dipped 0.3 points in April to 123.8. The short-term outlook index for the income, business, and labor markets grew 1.2 points to 72.2 but remained below the 80-mark for the fifteenth straight month. See The Conference Board
