U.S. residential furniture factory orders in April decreased 20% from the comparable month in 2021 but rose 4% from the same period in 2019. In April, 70% of participants reported decreases.
Furniture shipments grew 13% from April 2021 and up 6% year-to-date. With new orders still outpacing shipments, backlogs climbed 9% from April 2021. See Smith Leonard
