April Consumer Confidence Down

U.S. consumer confidence registered at 97.0 in April, dropping 6.1 points from the adjusted March reading and the third straight month of declines, according to The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index. The index measuring current business and labor market conditions fell 3.9 points to 142.9 in April. The short-term outlook index for the income, business, and labor markets decreased 7.6 points from March to 66.4.
