April Canadian building construction investment declined 3.2% from March but increased 8.6% year-over-year to $22.3 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending decreased 4.5% to $15.5 billion in April. Seasonally adjusted single-family investment was 4.0% lower than March at $6.8 billion, while multi-unit levels fell 4.8% to $8.7 billion in April.
