May Canadian building construction investment declined 2.2% from April but increased 5.8% year-over-year to $21.8 billion (CAD). Residential construction spending decreased 3.0% to $15.0 billion in May. Seasonally adjusted single-family investment was 2.5% lower than April at $6.6 billion, while multi-unit levels fell 3.4% to $8.5 billion in May.
