January Canadian Wood Product Sales Down

Seasonally adjusted Canadian wood product sales in January were $3.0 billion (CAD), 3.3% lower than December 2023 and dipping 0.5% from the comparable month last year. Sales of furniture and related products totaled $1.2 billion, decreasing 8.2% from December and falling 6.7% over January 2023. Canadian manufacturing sales for all industries were $71.1 billion, increasing 0.2% from December but declining 4.3% from the same period last year. See Statistics Canada
