The CPA Fall Meeting in Leesburg, VA will feature the following speakers.
Greg Lewis, Vice President of Wood Panels for Forest Economic Advisors, will deliver the keynote presentation at the opening General Session on Monday, October 23, providing a market analysis and forecast for the North American industry, including an outlook for potential new investments in North American by European producers and others.
During Monday’s lunch on October 23, Dr. Jay Lee, Distinguished Professor and Director of the Industrial Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center at the University of Maryland, will discuss strategies for adopting and implementing AI to enhance manufacturing processes.
The Tuesday General Session will focus on trends and provide future insights from furniture industry representatives, a major consumer of composite panel products. The roundtable discussion includes Bill Perdue, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs of American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA) and Steve Kooy, Director of Health and Sustainability of Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA).
The Production-Technical Committee meeting on Tuesday, October 24, will include a presentation from the 2022 Safety Innovation Award winner Weyerhaeuser. Justin Scott, Lead Electrician, and Nicholas Sparagna, Electrical Superintendent, will share the winning initiative titled “Transforming Electrical Safety.”
