Houzz released its “2022 U.S. Houzz Bathroom Trends Study” on August 30. The study revealed that 76% of the 2,500 homeowners surveyed upgraded vanity cabinets during primary bathroom renovations, with 61% choosing to invest in custom or semi-custom options. The survey found that 51% of upgraded vanities featured a shaker door style followed by flat panel (27%) and raised panel (16%). Homeowners featured vanities as a focal point in bathrooms based on the color or tone, including wood (30%) and gray (14%) as the primary choices.
Additionally, solid colors remained popular, with white dominating vanities, countertops and walls. Transitional style is now at the forefront of design preference (25% of remodels), followed by modern and contemporary (each 16%). See 2022 Houzz Bathroom Trends Survey
