U.S. Consumer Sentiment Down in June

In June, the U.S. experienced the largest drop in consumer sentiment since last October, according to the University of Michigan’s Survey of Consumers.  The University’s preliminary index of consumer sentiment fell 2.6 points from May to 94.5, despite a forecast of 97 points. Consumer expectations in June fell 3 points from the previous month to 84.7, the lowest reading since October. See Bloomberg and University of Michigan
