U.S. Construction Down in April

U.S. construction spending during April was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.218 trillion, 1.4% below the revised March estimate, but 6.7% above the comparable month in 2016.

Private construction spending in April fell 0.7% to $943.3 billion, with residential levels down 0.7% to $516.7 billion and nonresidential down 0.6% to $429.3 billion. See U.S. Census Bureau
