U.S. Construction Dips

U.S. construction spending during February was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.19 trillion, 0.8% below the revised January estimate, and 3% above the comparable month in 2016.

Private construction spending in February rose 0.8% above January’s revised estimate to $911.6 billion, with residential levels up 1.8% to $484.7 billion and nonresidential down 0.3% at $432.7 billion.  See U.S. Census Bureau
