U.S. Furniture Orders Rise in November

U.S. residential furniture orders in November 2016 increased 8% over the same month in 2015, according to a recent survey of residential furniture manufacturers and distributors.  Year-to-date orders were 3% higher than the same period a year prior with only 43% of survey participants reporting increased orders through November.

Shipments rose 4% in November with 58% of the participants reporting increases. Year-to-date levels were up 1% over the same period a year ago. See Smith Leonard
