Canadian Construction Investment Strengthens
Canadian new housing construction in October increased 4.9% to $5 billion over the same period in 2015. Single-family construction represented almost 50% of residential construction spending for the month. Apartment construction represented more than one-third of all spending.
Single family home construction increased 6% to $2.4 billion, while apartment building spending rose 2.1% in October to $1.8 billion. See Statistics Canada
