Golf Tournament

Cabo del Sol
Sunday, April 30 at 1pm
Fee: $175 per person

Ranked as the best course in Mexico by Golf Digest, Cabo del Sol’s  Desert Course is an 18-hole par 72 Jack Nicklaus-designed course located next to the hotel. The “best ball” 18-hole scramble begins at 1pm with a shotgun start. Foursomes will be evenly selected based on skill level by the golf pro and announced onsite. Greens fee, cart rental, range balls, bottled water and lunch are included. Rental clubs are available for a $69 fee payable at the course. All skill levels are encouraged to participate.  Proper golf attire required.  More Info:


Los Cabos International Airport (SJD)

The hotel does not provide a shuttle to the airport.  Private taxis from SJD to the hotel are $90 (1 - 4 passengers) each way.  CPA is working to arrange a discounted shuttle rate. This information will be available mid-March. 


Meeting attire is business casual, including the Chairman’s dinner. 


Average temperatures in Los Cabos in late April/early May: 89 F / 32 C (high); 68 F / 21 C (lows)

Passports are Required

Each guest must present their passport upon check-in (for photocopying) to avoid VAT taxes for the main meeting dates.


The hotel will exchange foreign currency to the peso, but U.S. dollars are accepted as tips

CPA Meeting Policies

Conflicting Events
Member companies are encouraged to take advantage of the unique networking opportunities offered during CPA Annual Meetings. However, members are to refrain from holding any type of structured meeting or event which conflicts with the Annual Meeting published Schedule of Events.  Member companies seeking to host events/meetings (e.g., golf tournament, hospitality suites) that take place in conjunction with the Annual Meeting must first notify and obtain approval from CPA. Approved events/meetings are not to be promoted as affiliated with CPA or part of its Annual Meeting program and are the full responsibility of the member company.  Failure to comply with this policy may jeopardize a member company’s attendance at a future CPA meeting.

Hotel Reservation Requirement
Attendees are expected to stay at the Grand Fiesta Americana (the host hotel).  Attendees not staying at Grand Fiesta Americana may be charged an additional $300 fee by CPA to offset any penalties assessed for not achieving the room block.
